  • You need to have at least one debt to apply

What is the process of a DAS?

You will need to speak to a qualified money advisor. They will assess your situation and assess what money is disposable to go into your repayment plan so the payments should be affordable. This is not a solution that we offer or are able to assist with however if it looks like you are suitable, we will refer you accordingly to someone who can.

  • Your credit rating could be affected.
  • You will be put onto a DAS register, anyone can access.
  • There is no debt write off, unlike a Trust deed. You will pay until all debt is cleared.

What's the difference between a DAS and a Trust Deed?

You must have at least £5000 worth of debt for a Trust deed, DAS has no minimum debt level.

You will pay a DAS until all debts are clear whereas in a Trust Deed you can be granted debt forgiveness. Any remaining debt is Written off.

What debts are included?

You can include all unsecured debts along with rent/arrears.

Is my owned home affected?

No, your home is not included in a DAS. If you have equity in your home, it may be worth considering alternative methods of raising funds against your property to reduce your debts.
